Do You Have The Pink Eye ?

  1. Step 1 keeping to yourself until it goes away

The Pink eye is no friend of mine. It usually begins in one eye and it spreads as fast as rabbits having babies It can be caused by bacteria or an allergy, but it usually the result of a virus. Pink eye is very contagious, but not that all serious, but need medical attention. Getting medical attention early will keep you from spreading it to others.

  2. Step 2 Getting that eye exam is a must

Until your eyes have cleared up don't go to sarah's pool party. She and her guest won't like it , if they get it. So stay at home until you clear up. It usually last about 1 week. If this does not clear up by then , you will want to go to your optician. He will give you an eye exam and ,by the look of things, yes ,you do have the pink eye ,he states. Most times , the pink eye would clear up by itself, but if your having a fever and may be changes in your vision that doctor's visit is a must.

  3. Step 3 hand washing is the best way to avoid spreading this germ

Here are some ways to cool down that itchy eye. Try using a cold compress Get a damp paper towel and place over your closed eye for 20 minutes. Apply it as often as you need it. Avoid shaking hands while infected. Try using disposable tissues, gloves . Be sure to disinfect your door knobs, just about anything that you touch. Remember , not to share towels and pillows. Make sure that you wash your hands.

  4. Step 4 Wearing shades help promote healing.

If you are a contact lense wearer , throw them away, Also avoid wearing them while you have the pink eye. It only irritates the eye even more. Also try wearing shades. They will keep the glare out of your eyes and promote a speedy recovery. Make sure that you keep your eyes lubricated .If your pink eye is allergy related, take care of the allergy as soon as possible You can take an over the counter antihistamine. Benadryl is good and it will reduce the itchy swelling and discomfort. If that does not work as your doctor for a prescription eye drop.
